Chairman of the Bored

Man, I forgot just how dull the act of drawing is. After the mayhem of christmas and the paternity leave, it's weird to be plunged back into the the solitude and the silence of the studio.
Luckily, I've got the internet to keep me distracted and good friends to keep me amused...

like this missive from Garth Ennis:

So a mate of mine was telling me last night about a pal of his who went to a U2 gig recently, and in the middle of it Bono- or "some cunt wearing shades indoors" as my friend put it- starts clapping his hands, slowly, about one clap every second. "I just want you to know," he says, "that every time I clap my hands, a baby dies in Africa."
To which some wag in the audience shouts, "Well for fuck's sake, Bono, stop clapping!".

That reminds me, be sure to pick up Garth's Punisher graphic novel, Barracuda. It's terrific.

And, here's a sneak peek of Laurence Campbell's new 2000ad cover featuring Savage. 'Ave it!
