Strange request

Help me out, someone...

I found this gorgeous rendition of Doctor Strange and theMindless Ones by Enrique Alcatena on the net.

Does anyone know where and in what issue this was originally published? This has go to be one of the best pieces of Doctor Strange art I've ever seen... and I'm left wanting MORE!

No clue myself, but I emailed this link to NeilAlien, the intarwub's resident Doc Strange expert, and if anybody will know, he will!

Hi Chris, I'm pretty sure this great art isn't published anywhere. According to the page on which it and related works were/are for sale on Comicartfans:

"These are a few Doc Strange illustrations Enrique Alcatena did just for the sake of the character being one of his favourites."

Chris-

the comment from "n" may be right. I was at Marvel when Alcatena was doing a lot of work in the mid-1990's, and I never saw any Doctor Strange stuff. There was, however, a good bit of kiddie-aimed FF stuff done to coincide with the mostly horrible FF cartoon TV series airing at the time, and Alcatena's work on that was stunning indeed. Too bad it was printed in color, because the guy's stuff muddies up like a sumbitch.
